With all the hoopla surrounding this entertaining NBA finals, Warrior fans should be focusing on the man calling the game, Mark Jackson. According to several reports, Mark Jackson is the leading candidate to coach the Warriors next season. Jackson tops a list that includes Mavs assistant Dwane Casey, Boston Celtics assistant Lawrence Frank, and Lakers assistant Brian Shaw. Jackson has already met with Joe Lacob two times, which is more than any other coaching candidates. Mike Brown was rumored to be the next Warriors coach untill he accepted the Lakers job offer.

For those of you who don’t remember Mark Jackson’s career, check out this fantastic mix.

I am one to vouch for this hire. Known around the league for being a great basketball mind, Jackson can come to this young team and relate to the players. The biggest impact he’ll have on this team is developing Stephen Curry’s point guard skills. Mark Jackson was a pure point guard who got his teammates involved and made everyone around him better. He has the ability to turn Stephen Curry into a true superstar and playmaker. The Warriors will be in great shape if they decide to hire him.
